Registration Information

Online registration has been closed. Registration is now only possible on-site, with the on-site registration fees. The registration desk opens on Monday evening from 17:00 until 20:00 in the conference center, and will be open all other days in the week from 8:00 to 18:00. Accomodation can still be booked through the online hotel booking form. The location of the hotels can be found on the map. If you want to share a room (see details below), you can follow the link to the ISCA students' room sharing website.

All amounts below are given in EUROS.

ISCA MEMBERSHIP

ISCA members qualify for a reduced registration rate. However, the registration rate for non-members includes a one (and optionally two) year ISCA membership, that entitles participants to all regular ISCA services. To be considered an ISCA-member for the registration process, your ISCA membership should be valid until August 31, 2007 or later. Validity of membership will be checked with the ISCA member list. If you cannot find valid membership data on the ISCA website, you are requested to contact the directly to resolve the problem.

PAPER REGISTRATION

In order to be accepted in the program, there must be an early registration (i.e. DEADLINE 22/06/07) for every accepted paper. Papers that cannot be linked to a registration on 23/06/07 will be removed from the program.

CONFERENCE FEES

Note that the on-site registration fees have been changed. They no longer include a ticket to the banquet.

** Please fax a proof of your status, signed by the head of department to the Organising Secretariat (+32 16 40 35 51). If this proof is not received, the full registration fee will be applied.

Payment of the full conference fee entitles to:
participation in all scientific sessions EXCLUDING THE TUTORIALS, one copy of all printed materials of the conference including proceedings on CD-ROM, the welcome reception, the conference dinner, and refreshments during the coffee breaks. Lunch is NOT INCLUDED.

TUTORIALS

Participation in the tutorial program is only possible in combination with a registration for the main conference. Tutorials will be held in the premises of the University of Antwerp and not in the main conference venue. Note that on-site registration for tutorials will not be possible.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Please note

  • attendance to the Welcome reception and the Conference banquet is complimentary for all categories of Interspeech participants
  • attendance to the student reception is open for student registrations only
  • attendance to the reviewers reception is open for reviewers only (limited attendance, first come first served based on registration)
  • attendance to these events is free for the mentioned categories of participants but a ticket is required because the events take place in different venues. Participants wishing these complimentary tickets need to tick the appropriate boxes in the registration form

PAYMENT

  • Only payments in EURO are accepted
  • Registration forms without appropriate payment will not be honored until full payment is received
  • Confirmation of registration will be sent by e-mail upon receipt of payment
  • Payment can be made using credit card (Eurocard/Mastercard or VISA only) or bank transfer; CHEQUES ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
  • All bank transfer charges are to be paid by the registrant
  • All participants will receive a proof of payment upon arrival at the conference.

ACCOMODATIONS

On-line hotel booking on an individual basis will be available through the conference hotel booking web page. For those interested in finding lodging at the cheapest possible rates, the ISCA Student Advisory Council has set up a room-share service. You can access this service through the web site of the ISCA SAC. Shared rooms will be provided in the Etap Hotel Antwerp City Central Station, situated within walking distance from the conference venue. One night in a shared room costs €30 (including breakfast). After an agreement is reached with 2 persons wishing to share a room, the organising secretariat will send a confirmation. Full pre-payment is required. Budget accommodation will be organised on a first come, first served basis and only for requests reaching us by August 10th.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS POLICY

Cancellation must be notified to . All refunds will be made after the conference. Refunds will be made to the same bank account or credit card as the original payment. Please refer to the following dates for cancellation:

  • Cancellation by July 27th - Full refund less bank or credit card expenses and a €75 processing fee
  • Cancellation after July 27th - No refund

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

Neither the organizers nor ISCA are liable for any losses, injury or damage to persons or property, regardless of the cause.
Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance.
